If one was to tell you they would like to start a snake farm, what would be your first reaction?
Well, there is one located long Abuja-Keffi road and home to all types of snakes for display! To be honest i was shocked to even learn that there is a farm for snakes, very intriguing.
I have never been a lover of snakes but common on! who wouldn't love to learn about this facinating creature? So, on my way to Kaduna North i decided to drop by seeing the sign post along the express-way and this was not a bad idea at all 😏 First, i thought it would be a farm for just snakes but i was amazed to see other animals there such as monkeys, porcupines, camels and horses.
I would say this is my most mind-blowing activity so far, the reason being that generally snakes are seen as man's sworn enemy only to be killed on sight and here we are at a farm housing different species. So, here is the History;
The destination is about 40KM from the Federal capital territory (FCT), also known as The Tukur & Tukur Snake Farm reported owned by Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai, Seated on a 20-hectares of land.
The farm has a wide area for children to play with engaging facilities. How comfortable can you get? 😂
Well, tour fee was N600 and if you would like to take a picture with the snake hanging around your neck or holding it attracts a fee for the snake charmer. In as much as i love their appealing colours, I do not think I would be caught dead with one. Safety first! lol
